Following his experience producing The Rite of Jupiter in 2001, Jon Sewell couldn't wait to do another show. He changed his focus from "can it be done" to "how well can it be done." The resulting labor of love became The Rite of Luna. Luna is, on the surface, the story of "Sleeping Beauty and the Beast." Pan struggles to wake the sleeping goddess Luna (Artemis) as her temple guardians try to prevent him amid the flights of fancy of faeries and fauns. The Rite of Luna was performed to enthusiastic audiences on April 16, 2005, in Portland, OR and from May 5-8, 2005, in Seattle, WA.
